Obasanjo Named his Monkey "Patience"

Why would former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, named his chimpanzee "Patience"? This is the question a number of people will be asking as it has come to light that the OBJ as he's widely called, just donated a chimpanzee in his wild life park to Pandrillus Foundation. The foundation which has been in Nigeria since 1988 is dedicated to animal conservation and care at their Drill Ranch Afi Mountain.

Liza Gadsby and Peter Jenkins who run the organisation said 'Patience" is currently undergoing medical screening in Calabar sequel to her joining other chimpanzees in the centre. They thanked President Obasanjo for the gesture and promised to keep doing all they can to ensure the survival of the now almost extinct Mandrillus leucophaeus species of monkeys.
