NANS Threatens To Shut Down Nigeria
#OccupyNigeria might just be back again as two major groups (NLC and NANS) in the country have 'strongly' rejected the new price of fuel.
Comrade Tijani Shehu, the National President of NANS, has revealed that the Association of Nigerian Students, NANS will shut down Nigeria next week, in response to the new price regime declared by the Minister of State for Petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu.
Shehu announced this while speaking in Abuja, at a rally protest to demand the removal of the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, over the poor state of Nigerian Higher institutions.
Shehu said all Nigerian students would gather and re-enact the #OccupyNigeria next week.
Shehu said:
A directive has been issued to all tertiary institutions to shut down all campuses on Tuesday and Wednesday, next week. After that, they will all converge on Abuja for a mass protest.
On behalf of NANS and the whole 40.1 million students, we condemn the new price and by Tuesday or Wednesday, the whole Nigeria student would occupy Nigeria.
So the Federal Government should look into this before NANS mobilize the entire Nigeria students to occupy Nigeria.
