La-Liga Foundation Comes To The Aid Of El-Kanemi And People Of Maiduguri

The chairman League Management Company (LMC) , Mallam Shehu Dikko has revealed that the La Liga Foundation as agreed to assist El-Kanemi Warriors and the people of Maiduguri  which are also part of the partnership deal signed with the Spanish league body.

Speaking on Friday, Dikko said El-Kanemi Warriors and the people of Maiduguri will benefit immensely from the partnership deal after the team’s return to play their matches at home in Maiduguri after overcoming the Boko Haram insurgency.

The “LaLiga foundation has plans to assist El-Kanemi and the people of Maiduguri as part of the partnership. Football is a unifying factor in the country. We are excited that NPFL football has returned to Maiduguri. It was good to see we had 22,800 fans at the Maiduguri stadium yesterday to watch El-Kanemi against Kano Pillars,” Dikko explained.

Speaking further, the foremost football marketer and administrator stated that there are lots of benefits in the deal, especially in the area of club management structure for the NPFL club managers.

“The Spanish La Liga partnership will offer us opportunities on how to develop our digital platforms. Opportunities in the NPFL are enormous, and the digital platform is one area targeted to improve the league’s finances. It will give NPFL club managers chance to learn on club management structure. The league just needs government to provide the proper infrastructure to support the league,” Dikko concluded.

Meanwhile, Dikko also confirmed that a La Liga club will be on a tour to play in Nigeria in July.
