Chidi Mokeme Raises Funny But Serious 'Fuel' Questions

Nollywood star and TV Host, Chidi Mokeme has again expressed his disgust at the new petrol price regime and continuous scarcity of fuel, and wants answers to his questions.

He saw a picture of some couple empty fuel containers and wonders why fuel is still not available, which is in sharp contrast with the promises of fuel availability by the Federal Government.

It would be recalled that the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, promised fuel availability, since subsidy has been removed and deregulation in place. Yet, queues like this (although reduced) still exist and Nigerians might start doubting the words of the Minister.

So I came across a question this morning, and an attempt to answer it led to even more questions:... Does the NNPC retail 'fuehh' through MEGASTATIONS only or are there other NNPC Franchises? If Yes, Is there a difference between NNPC MEGASTATIONS and NNPC Franchises? If Yes. What is the difference? Do the MEGASTATIONS get all their 'fuehh' allocations from NNPC? Does NNPC supply the MEGASTATIONS with a mix of locally refined crude and "imported" fuel? If the allocations to MEGASTATIONS come from locally refined fuel, does/Why/should it cost N145?
