Breaking: Suicide Bomber Blows Self, Killing Scores

A suicide bomber suspected to be a member of the Boko Haram sect blew himself up near a mosque in Sulimanti ward of Maiduguri, Borno State in the early hours of Wednesday, leaving scores injured.

It has been gathered that members of the civilian JTF and residents have embarked on a search to apprehend one of the bombers that escaped without detonating his bomb.

An eye witness, Mallam Ali Aji, who was at the mosque as at the time of the explosion said the people praying in the mosque fled the mosque as soon as they noticed the men with the IED's.

The injured victims have been rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment.

There is yet to be an official confirmation of the incident from authorities as at the time of filing the report.
